Frequently Asked Questions

How accessible is my doctor?

Go Beyond Medicine® is an Adult Primary Care practice that also specializes in Natural (bio-identical) Hormone Replacement, Weight Management and Acupuncture/Herbal Medicine. We also provide lab services to individuals and companies.

Do you accept new patients?

New patients are welcome. Call 859-586-0111 ext. 109 or 110 to speak to a New Patient Coordinator. Or, click here to Request an Appointment.

What is private care?

As a private medical practice we focus on your recovery and wellness. We deliver “wholistic” medicine combining traditional and alternative approaches. We continuously strive to improve our operations to enable our patients to access first class care affordably.

Do you accept medical insurance?

Most people are not aware that the cost of private care is far lower than the annual out-of-pocket expenses charged by their insurance company. Self pay services are affordable because cost savings are shared. The cost of care is disclosed before services are administered so you know what to expect. If you carry private insurance and you are eligible for out-of- network services, we’ll complete the forms you’ll submit to your insurer for reimbursement. Medicare and Medicaid require patients to agree they cannot get reimbursement for the cost of the private office visit.

Do you accept HSA, FSA or other third party health payment?

Yes, Go Beyond Medicine® accepts health care card payments, along with CareCredit.

What should I expect during my first visit?

Your first visit will take approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours; this includes an initial meeting with our New Patient Coordinator. During the initial visit the provider will review your medical history, past and current medication (including vitamins and supplement) usage, labs and tests; so, be sure to bring these records / medication bottles with you.

How long is a normal visit?

On arrival you’ll be greeted by our front desk staff who will check you in on our kiosk. Typically patients are seen at or around their appointment time. If an appointment is delayed due to an emergency the front desk staff will alert you.

Does Go Beyond Medicine® accept walk-ins?

Due to our busy schedules, we do not see patients on a walk-in basis unless you’re coming in for lab work, an injection, or a routine medication refill. If there is an emergency, please go to the nearest emergency treatment center.
